MHSAA officials worked with administrators from the host insitutions as well as administrators and coaches from the participating high schools to facilitate schedule adjustments and limit disruptions on the college campuses.
With MSU’s softball team scheduled to practice Monday evening, Game 2’s in Starkville will start that morning and any Game 3’s will be played Tuesday,
Since the tournament had not started in Hattiesburg, each of the six participating schools in 5A, 3A and 1A were given the opportunity by the MHSAA on Friday morning to reschedule to a home-and-home and/or neutral site series at a mutually agreeable location for both teams. That option led to no requests by the participating schools for site changes, so all three series will remain at USM.
