Five schools earned championship trophies and banners Monday in the MHSAA State Tennis Championships at Bridges Tennis Center in Jackson (Class 6A and 5A) and FNC Tennis Center in Oxford (4A, 3A and Class 1A/2A).
- In the 6A finals, Ocean Springs defeated two-time defending champion Madison Central 5-2 for the title.
- In the 5A finals, Lafayette defeated Stone 4-3 for the title
- In the 4A finals, New Albany defeated defending champion Newton County 5-2 for the title
- In the 3A finals, St. Andrew’s defeated South Ponotoc 6-1 for the title
- In the 1A/2A finals, Tupelo Christian defeated Sacred Heart 5-2 for a third straight title.
