Game 1 of Fast Pitch Championships complete

Day 1 of the 2018 MHSAA Fast Pitch Championship is in the books with classes 6A, 4A and 2A competing at the University of Southern Mississippi and classes 1A, 3A and 5A playing at Mississippi State University.

Here are the results from day 1 and the schedule for day 2.

Class 6A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): DeSoto Central 4, Harrison Central 1. Game 2 on Friday at 6:30 PM at Southern Miss.

Class 5A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): Neshoba Central 3, Pearl River Central 0. Game 2 Friday night at a time TBD at Mississippi State.

Class 4A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): Kosciusko rallies for six runs in the top of the 7th, two more in the 9th for 9-7 victory over Lawrence County at USM. Game 2 Friday at 4 PM

Class 3A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): Houston 6, Raleigh 1. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at MSU with first pitch set for 30 minutes after the completion of the 1A game that begins at 2:30.

Class 2A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): St Patrick 3, Lake 2. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at 1:30 PM at USM.

Class 1A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 1): Hamilton 6, Myrtle 4. Game 2 is scheduled for Friday at MSU with first pitch at 2:30 PM.
