Mississippi High School Activities Association The place for high school sports in Mississippi On day 2 of the 2018 MHSAA Fast Pitch Championships, five of the six classes crowned champions. The Class 1A series will go to day 3 with Myrtle and Hamilton battling at Mississippi State at noon.
Class 6A Fast-Pitch State Championship (Game 2): DeSoto Central 3, Harrison Central 1 (FINAL), Lady Jaguars win their first fast-pitch title.
Class 5A Fast-Pitch State Championship (Game 2): Neshoba Central 6, Pearl River Central 2 (FINAL). Lady Rockets win their 6th straight title and 8th since 2005.
Class 4A Fast-Pitch State Championship (Game 2): Kosciusko 5, Lawrence County 2 (FINAL). Lady Whippets win their first state title in softball
Class 3A Fast-Pitch State Championship (Game 2): Houston 10, Raleigh 2 (FINAL), Lady Toppers win their second fast-pitch title and first since 2012.
Class 2A Fast-Pitch State Championship (Game 2): St. Patrick 7, Lake 5 (FINAL). Lady Irish win their 4th title since 2012
Class 1A Fast-Pitch Softball Championship (Game 2): Myrtle 7, Hamilton 5 (FINAL). Game 3 on Saturday at noon at Mississippi State.
