Pisgah coach Michael Granberry says:
“Don is a tremendous runner and a tremendous runner who can play about any position on the football field. He has the ability to run around you, but he can also turn upfield and run over you, too. Our coaches joke we’ve seen defenses that don’t even have a name that opponents put together to try to stop him. Teams have put 8, 9, 10 men in the box, but he is still able to be successful. Don also is the nicest kid you’ll ever meet, really the furthest thing from a superstar. The attention doesn’t get to him. I don’t think he realizes how special he is on the field because that’s not his personality.”
