Morton coach Ty Weems says:
“D.D. has been one of those kids who has been exceptionally gifted on the field ever since he was in youth football. If you come to watch a football game, there are usually six or seven moments when your jaw just drops. For us, it was usually D.D. making those plays. He just has the innate ability to do things you don’t see very often. We moved him from receiver to full-time quarterback early in the season to give him the opportunity to have the ball in his hands every play. Once he got the hang of the position, he ran with it and really took off.”
