Ryleigh Kate Merriman, a member of the Vancleave girls golf team, hit a hole-in-one during an official school golf tournament on Sept. 15.
Merriman used a 9 iron on the 110-yard second hole at Gulfport’s Lady Admiral Invitational Golf Tournament at The Bayou Vista Golf Club in Gulfport.
This was her first hole-in-one. The Vancleave coach and the East Central coach, along with other players and parents, witnessed the event.
