Neshoba Central, Lake prevail in MHSAA C Spire Slow-Pitch Championships

Neshoba Central and Lake took home state titles October 19th in the 32nd annual MHSAA C Spire Slow-Pitch Softball Championships at Liberty Park in Madison.

In Class II, Neshoba defeated Wayne County 10-2 and 6-5 to win the best-of-three. The Lady Rockets finished 33-4 in winning their eighth consecutive slow-pitch state championship. The Lady War Eagles finished 28-6 as the state runner-up.

In Class I, Lake defeated Houston 2-5, 9-2 and 13-3 in six innings. The Lady Hornets completed the season at 32-3 in winning their first slow-pitch state title. The Lady Toppers ended 27-11 as state runner-up.
