East Union boys, Tupelo Christian girls win Class I bowling titles

East Union captured the boys title, while Tupelo Christian prevailed for the girls title in the Class I Bowling State Championships on Wednesday at Metro 24 Bowling Center in Jackson.

In the boys final, East Union outlasted Kossuth 3-2 in the Baker Series championship round matching the top two teams from the preliminaries. The Urchins won their third title since 2008.

In the girls final, Tupelo Christian defeated East Union  3-0. It was the first title for the Lady Eagles.
