The MHSAA/MAAA will host an NIAAA/MHSAA Certification Boot Camp on November 17th and 18th at the MHSAA/MAC offices for anyone wishing to pursue RAA and/or CAA certification through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. The Registered Athletic Administrator certification requires LTC 501, 502 and 503. The Certified Athletic Administrator certification requires 501, 502, 503, 504 and 506.
Several individuals took 501, 502 and 503 at the MAAA conference in January. You can complete the CAA course requirements by taking 504 and 506 on November 17th. You will then just need to complete and submit the required PDF through the NIAAA and take the CAA Exam (once the PDF has been approved) to achieve the CAA designation. *At least two years experience as an AD is required for CAA certification.*
For those who have not begun the certification process and plan to take 501, 502 and 503 during this boot camp, we plan to offer 504 and 506 again in the Spring.
We will offer the CAA Exam this summer at the MAC Coaches Clinic.
