General Information:
Facility: Indoor 8 lane (m), 20 lanes (scy), 50 meters by 25-yard competition pool. The competition venue will use 8 short course yard lanes with a minimum depth of 7’5” depth on the west side and a 12’4” depth diving envelope on the east side. Equipment includes Paragon Track Start Competitor starting blocks, Colorado Backstroke starting ledges, Colorado Gen 7 timing system, Colorado Aquagrip Pads, Colorado System Full Matrix LED Scoreboard and Hy-Tek Meet Manager. Locker rooms for male and female athletes only. Lobby restrooms for spectators. Upper level spectator seating. Deck level seating for athletes. Concessions and Heat Sheets: Sold in the front lobby of Tupelo Aquatic Center.
Swimmers entered based on results from North/South Half Meets.

- For schools with 12 qualified swimmers or less, you are allowed 1 coach on the pool deck.
- For schools with more than 12 qualified swimmers, you are allowed 1 additional coach per 12 swimmers.
- Bus Drivers are not allowed on the pool deck unless they are part of the coaching staff and meet the criteria for the coach/swimmer ratio per team.
- Fees are waived for coaches and bus drivers with proper credentials located in coaches’ packet.
ENTRIES:
- Entries will be based upon the results of the North/South Half Meets.
- All events will be seeded according to the times from North/South State meets.
- The top 6 from the North, the top 6 from the south and the next fastest 4 swimmers from either North or South meet will advance to the MHSAA Championship Meet.
- A list of qualifiers will be identified by the MHSAA and posted on the MHSAA website.

Scoring and Awards:
- The top 8 swimmers in individual and relays will score.
- The top 3 swimmers /relay teams will be awarded medallions at the podium below the American Flag.
- Team trophies for first and second place, female and male, Class 1 and 2.
Thursday, October 21, 2021 (Class II Info/Open Warm-ups)
The Tupelo Aquatic Center will be accommodating open warmups in the following lanes.
North/South End of Comp Pool: 6:30-7:45pm Comp Pool.
EP Pool: 6:45-7:45pm.
Enter the facility from the north natatorium doors. No lobby entrances.
Teams are strongly encouraged to check in on Thursday, pay meet fees and pick up Coaches’ packet between 5:30-7:pm at the table outside the meet management room. If your team is not participating in Open Warmups but you are in town, please come by and pay your meet fees and pick up your Coaches’ packet.
Only swimmers and coaches are allowed in the natatorium on Thursday for general warmups.
Facility closes @ 8:00 pm*.

Teams can start entering from the north natatorium doors at 6:30am.

If the team has not paid their meet fees or picked up their Coaches’ Packet, a coach must report
to the check in table located by the North Natatorium doors to pay for meet fees and pick up coaches’ packet prior to entry.
No athlete, coach or bus driver will be allowed on the pool deck without credentials.
Credentials will be found in the coaches’ packets along with the heat sheets.
Warmup Lane and timing lane assignments will be posted on the MHSAA website.
Warmup Session 1: 7:00-7:30am
Warmup Session 2: 7:30-8:00am
Warmup Session 3: 8:00-8:30am
Officials Meeting: 7:45-8:30am
Coaches Meeting: 8:30am
Preliminary Competition begins at 8:50am
Final Session: Open warmups: 3:15-4:00pm Competition: 4:15pm (any adjustments will be announced at the meet)
7:00 am- Spectator Entry Fee: $10.00 per person. Spectators may start entering from the front lobby doors of the Tupelo Aquatic Center. The spectator will be given a wristband to be worn at all times. If they are coming back for the finals’ session, they must present the wristband to regain entry into the natatorium. If lost, you will need to repay $10.00. In accordance with the MHSAA, swimmers who did not qualify for the State Meet must purchase a ticket to enter and sit in the spectator seating.
Friday, Oct 22, 2021 (Class I info/Open Warm-ups)
Class 1 teams: Additional warmups on Friday, Oct 22, 2021 from 5:15-6:45pm in the EP Pool (5 lanes available).
If Class 2 Finals’ portion of competition is finished, then the competition pool will be made available for Open Warmups. Reservations must be made on (not before) Monday, Oct. 18 by Noon CST for use of EP Pool. Email barbara.aguirre@tupeloms.gov to reserve lane(s). First come, first served. They will be broken into 30-minute sessions in EP Pool. Facility closes @ 8:00pm.
Only swimmers and coaches allowed in the natatorium. Arrive with swimsuits on and only equipment needed to warmup as there will not be available seating on deck or upper level stadium seating.
Class 1 teams are strongly encouraged to check in on Friday, pay meet fees and pick up your Coaches’ packets between 6-7:30pm. Payment and pickup area to be determined.
Only Class 1 swimmers and coaches are allowed in the natatorium on Friday for general warmups.
Facility closes @ 8:00 pm*.

Reminders for parents and spectators, coaches and athletes:
- Spectators enter from the front lobby doors of the Tupelo Aquatic Center.
- Spectator fees are required by MS High School Association (MHSAA) ($10.00 per person)
- Spectators will be allowed to enter @ 7:00am of each morning for Class 1 and Class 2 prelim session.
- Spectators returning to finals will need to show proof (wristband) if they had already purchased at the prelim session.
- If only attending the finals session, admittance fee is $10.00 per person.
- Teams (athletes and coaches) will enter thru the North Natatorium doors directly into the pool area.
- Concessions in front lobby. The Prelim Heat Sheet (program) is $10.00. If you are returning for finals, a coupon will be on the back of the prelim heat sheet for the final’s session heat sheet @ no additional cost. If you do not have a coupon for the final session heat sheet, the cost is $5.00.
- No saved seating in spectator area. First come, first served on the day your swimmer(s) is participating in the meet.
- You must take any belongings with you between prelim/finals. (for ex: Stadium chairs/seats). Tupelo Aquatic Center will be cleaning in between sessions.
- **If you leave your personal belongings and stadium seats, Tupelo Aquatic Center will set the seating and personal belongings outside of the building. **
- Tupelo Aquatic Center is not responsible for personal belongings left.
- No parents or spectators are allowed on the pool deck at any time unless traveling to spectator seating, the front lobby restroom or concession area.
- No glass, ceramic coffee mugs, etc. is allowed inside the Tupelo Aquatic Center.
- Only volunteers that have a working position at their designated time will be allowed on the pool deck.
- Athletes are only allowed in the locker rooms. No athletes should be in the front lobby bathrooms as this is for spectators.
- Team Banners may be placed on the top stadium rail (not the wires) using zip ties.
- No taping of banners, posters or signs on any surface of the Tupelo Aquatic Center.
- Please park in designated parking spaces. Cars will be towed if parked in the fire zone on the curbs or in the grass at the owner’s expense.
- Please be mindful of others watching the meet. Don’t stand directly behind the railing during competition.
- Buses will be directed by a digital sign to park in the north parking lot of softball fields.
- Mask Mandate: City of Tupelo has no mask mandates at this time. If you want to wear a mask, or are mandated by your school, MHSAA, Tupelo Highschool (host) team, please do so. If the City of Tupelo does require a mask closer to the scheduled meet, then that information will be added to the MHSAA website. Come prepared.
- Wi-Fi is available inside the Tupelo Aquatic Center and in the park on a limited basis.
- Awards will be presented on the podium under the American Flag. No spectators on the deck during award ceremony. Top 3 in individual and relay events will be awarded the medallion.

This meet will be an USA Swimming Observed Meet. Those swimmers that are a current member of USA Swimming will be able to have their times from this meet entered into the SWIMS Data Base. Coaches must give to Alissa Kojima (Administrative Referee) at the beginning of the meet the list of those swimmers current USA Swimming number and name. (not 10 days after the meet)
