MHSAA Swim State Meet on deck for October 26 at Tupelo

The 27^th annual MHSAA/Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Swim State Championships return to the Tupelo Aquatic Center on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

More than 500 swimmers have qualified to compete at the Tupelo Aquatic Center, which opened in 2013 and is hosting the State Meet for the sixth straight year.

Tupelo is aiming for a ninth consecutive Class II boys title and 13^th straight title overall, while Madison Central is chasing for sixth straight Class II girls championship.

St. Joseph (Class I boys) and St. Andrew’s (Class I girls) will be attempting to win back-to-back championships.

Saturday morning’s warm-ups start at 7:00 with the preliminary heats scheduled to begin at 8:45 and conclude around noon. The afternoon session and finals begin after a mandatory 3-hour rest session.
