Mississippi High School Activities Association The place for high school sports in Mississippi 
Representatives of the MHSAA and Mississippi Association of Coaches were on hand August 16th to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center’s newest location at 4506 Lakeland Drive in Flowood.
The event also recognized the career of Dr. Walter Shelton, who is retiring this month after many years of service with MSMOC.
“Mississippi Sports Medicine has been a tremendous partner for a long, long time — not only for the Mississippi High School Activities Association but also for our more than 500 member schools,” MHSAA Executive Director Don Hinton said. “We appreciate the tireless support, generosity and value Mississippi Sports Medicine leaders past and present — like Dr. Shelton — have placed on strong relationships with education-based athletics and activities. We look forward to that relationship continuing to grow in the future.”
