MHSAA umpire calls WCWS games

Longtime MHSAA official Emerus Addison reached one of the pinnacles of the profession recently, when he was among a select few umpires chosen for the Women’s College World Series.

Mr. Addison called five games in the NCAA Division Softball Championships at Oklahoma City, including in the final best-of-three series between UCLA and Oklahoma.

A college softball umpire for 15 years, Mr. Addison’s distinguished officiating career in the MHSAA includes 20 years in football, 13 years in slow-pitch softball, 12 years in baseball and 10 years in fast-pitch softball. A member of the Delta Officials Association, he has been recognized as an MHSAA official of the year in football, baseball and slow-pitch.
