Speech & Debate State Congress Championship
April 5-6, 2019 – Host: Millsaps College
All MHSAA Member Schools are invited to compete in the State Congress Championships, the first competition of the year in selecting the Mississippi Speech and Debate State Championship Team. Speech and Debate Events will take place May 3-4, 2019 at Madison Central High School.
All schools may register up to ten (10) students for this competition. The cost is $10.00 per student.
The deadline for entries in the MHSAA State Congressional Debate Championships is Monday, April 1, 2019 at midnight. After the deadline no student may be added, and no student may be substituted for another one. Any drops after the deadline will incur a Double Fee.
The deadline to submit legislation for state championships is Monday – March 4, 2019 at noon and bill books will be available on Thursday – March 7, 2019.
