Mississippi High School Activities Association The place for high school sports in Mississippi 
Moss Point honored Jerry Alexander on Friday night by naming the school’s football stadium in honor of the former Tigers coach.
Coach Alexander won four Class 5A state championships and 167 games in 18 seasons leading Moss Point’s program. He retired in 2008.
Alexander was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Delta State University Hall of Fame in 2010.
Moss Point won its first game in the newly-named Alexander Stadium, defeating Vancleave 41-10 in a Region 8-4A matchup.
