NCAA requirements among topics at counselor workshop

NCAA academic requirements for students & student athlete participation have changed for the upcoming 2017 – 18 school year.  Workshops will be held at three locations around the state to communicate the recent NCAA changes as well as provide up-to-date information regarding MHSAA academic requirements for student participation in sports and activities.
 
Topics will include:
High School Counselor Best Practices (Athletics and Activities)
Community College Admission Requirements and Campus Visits
NCAA Clearinghouse (Recent Changes in Academic Requirements) 
NCAA Compliance Officer (University Requests, Campus Visits, Basic Needs)
MHSAA Academic Requirements for Participation in Activities and Athletics
