Clinton, MS – The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) is thrilled to announce a dynamic new partnership with Whataburger, one of the nation’s most beloved fast-food chains. This exciting collaboration will bring a fresh level of excitement and support to the MHSAA during the 2023-2024 school year.
Whataburger, renowned for its commitment to community engagement and supporting local initiatives, has joined hands with the MHSAA to enhance the high school athletic experience for Mississippi’s students, athletes, and fans. This partnership represents a significant milestone for both organizations, aligning their shared values of excellence, integrity, and community involvement.

Together, we will create memorable experiences for our students and communities throughout Mississippi.”
Whataburger’s commitment to the community is highlighted by its signature program Whataburger Feeding Student Success which focuses on charitable giving at the intersection of food insecurity and education. The program serves students and teachers through three key components: college resource rooms, scholarship funds, and community support. Whataburger has given more than $5 million in support to communities and students through the Feeding Student Success program.
As part of this exciting partnership, furthering Whataburger’s community impact, Whataburger will serve as the official sponsor of various MHSAA state championships, elevating the high school experience for Mississippi’s youth more. The collaboration will encompass a range of initiatives during the following state championships: basketball, football, baseball, powerlifting & tennis.
