Vista and MHSAA Eligibility System
It is recommended that you do not try to install and run the Eligibility
application on a system running Vista.
In creating Vista Microsoft went to the extreme in establishing security for
their operating system. As a result, by default they block the running of many
types of applications that access the internet. That includes applications like
our Eligibility system. It is possible to override these security blocks, but
it takes a fairly high level of technical expertise to do this. Or it takes a
general override of most of the security options.
A utility that will do the general override of security is available, but the
user assumes all responsibility for any security issues that may arise.
As Vista matures and new releases are made available, we expect that these kind
of problems will be less of an issue in the future. But in the mean time, we
suggest that you continue to use Win 2000 or XP for this application.
