Bat Testing

The MHSAA will be requiring that all playoff-bound teams report to have their bats tested at the MHSAA office (Conference Room) on Monday, October 14, 2013 – prior to the first round. Approved bats will be marked at the time of testing and only the marked bats may be used in the playoff series. We will allow a maximum of 12 bats per team to be tested.

We will follow the schedule below:

9:30-11:00: District I, District II, District VIII

11:00 – until: District III, District IV, District V, District VI, District VII

Any school official may bring the bats to be tested, since many of our coaches may have class. We are testing bats for safety reasons and liability to our schools and the Association.

Bats will be re-tested on the day of the state finals.
