State Playoff

*Soccer Coaches - please notify the MHSAA as soon as you qualify for the state playoffs.  Program roster and team picture must be emailed as soon as you are on the bracket for the state playoffs.  Program roster can be found at the top of this page, complete, and email along with team picture  to dlewis@misshsaa.com .


You have been invited to take part in the NFHS rules-writing process by taking the annual soccer rules questionnaire. This questionnaire is provided so the opinions of a national sampling of coaches and registered officials will be considered by the NFHS Soccer Rules Committee. THE QUESTIONNAIRE WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 2. The South Team will be the Home Team and the North Team will be the Visiting Team.

Home Team will wear Light colored jerseys and Visiting Team will wear dark colored jerseys.

Eligibility Roster

Coaches: the Eligibility Roster is due in our office as soon as you qualify for the first round of playoffs in a sport. If your Eligibility Roster is not completed and submitted to MHSAA before the first round of playoffs you will be fined $50.00 immediately.

Soccer Rules Clinic

Soccer Games - A total of 21 games is the maximum number of contests that a team may play. (scheduled games plus tournaments = 21)

Immediately after 1st round of the playoffs, (January 25) teams that advance must submit a team program roster and a team photo to MHSAA (these may be submitted earlier)

NFHS Soccer Rule 4-1-1b,

The home team shall wear white or light jerseys and socks, and the visiting team shall wear dark jerseys and socks. Beginning with the 2013 fall season, the home team shall wear solid white jerseys and solid white socks, and the visiting team shall wear dark jerseys and socks. Prior to and during the game, jerseys shall be tucked into the shorts, unless manufactured to be worn outside.

Game Balls

All game balls used during regular season and state playoff contests must have the National Federation Stamp.
