    Head Football Coach Position


                Required –A Valid Mississippi Educator License

    Job Summary:

    The person hired for this position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in football.  The person hired for this position will also oversee the football program grades 9-12 and provide guidance for 5 middle school teams (grades 7&8).

    Wayne County Football Tradition

    Wayne County is a 5-A public school with an enrollment of 950 and a strong history in football including 4 state titles since 2000, the most recent in 2015.  The War Eagles play in a football facility with a turf field, a new field house and state of the art weight room. Formed in 1989 the school’s overall record is 244-115 (68%), and since 2000 their overall record is 193-48 (80%). The War Eagles have been to the MHSAA playoffs 17 of the last 18 years.
