MHSAA C Spire Slow-Pitch Softball State Championship recap

Hamilton, Newton County and Neshoba Central took home titles Oct. 21 in the 30th annual MHSAA C Spire Slow-Pitch Softball State Championships at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.

In Class I, Hamilton defeated Enterprise (Clarke) 11-5 and 12-5 to win a second straight championship and ninth since 1992.

In Class II, Newton County defeated Nettleton 13-19, 18-6 and 16-9 to win fifth straight title and 11th since 1992

In Class III, Neshoba Central defeated Wayne County 14-1 and 10-3 for sixth title in a row.
